You are letting them get to know you through pictures and stories.

That content allows you to become a visual presence in your industry and in your niche. Putting that useful content on the internet shows people that you are an expert in your industry. You become known as a problem solver. When your potential clients gets to know you, they begin to like you and trust you. That trust over time will begin to increase your visibility and eventually your business. People do business with people not products. Make it personal. Let your followers into your life so they can get to know the real you. At the end of the day, Social Media is all about building relationships and strong connections. So be a problem solver. Help others to get the answers they need.

Posting fun lifestyle photos on your social media pages shows people how fun and interesting you are. Those photos should be eye catching and capture the attention of new people and show those people that you are a real person. Showing your following how they can relate to your story is a huge part of building strong relationships.  I cant even begin to tell you how many friends and amazing people that I have had the pleasure of meeting just by being online. So get out there and meet some new people and share your life.

Getting the Most Out of Your Social Media Efforts to Increase Your Business

As a business owner keeping your Social Media profiles up to date with valuable content is a HUGE task and can be an awful lot of work. If you feel like it could be too much for you to handle on your own, I suggest that you look into hiring a Social Media Manager to make sure that the daily posting tasks are getting done. Social media efforts should be a top priority for business and not something that you take lightly. If you are not making connections, building relationships and sharing information…..You are out of business. Make sure that you are mapping out the content that you want to share with your audience on a weekly or monthly basis. Treat your social media marketing like a business and not a hobby. Be consistent with your posts.

  • Post content to your platforms several times a day. Do your research to find the best times to post and on which platform. Get your followers to engage with you. When they engage, they will continue to follow, like and share your post. Sharing your content with others on the web gives you more exposure. Make sure that you return the favor if it is content that you enjoy and find valuable.
  • Keep your marketing fun, social and valuable not spammy or pitchy. Your content should be 80% value and 20% business.
  • Be visible.Put yourself out there and make yourself known. The more you post, the more that you are seen by your friends and possible prospects.
  • Share your blog or website on your platforms as much as possible. It will continue to build your Personal Brand.

Remember to keep in fun! Social media should be taken seriously but kept light. Stay consistent in your posting efforts. Posting once a day and then disappearing for three is not going to improve your online visibility.

Tips and Tricks

Social Media Tip: If you are having a hard time keeping up and can not afford to hire a manager schedule your posts ahead of time with tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite ,Board Booster or Post Planner.
